This widget uses the latitude and longitude from the GPS in your phone or tablet to calculate the time until dark, so you do not need a network connection for this widget to work.
Remember that 'dark' is defined by "civil twilight" darkness will come earlier if the sky is mostly obscured by clouds, trees or buildings.
